Baby Registries

We are registered at the following:

Target

Target's registry has mostly layette items like clothing and linens, along with toiletry items, bath tub, some toys, and a high chair. This registry is where our froggie theme items are listed.

Babies 'R' Us

At Babies 'R' Us we added a crib and accessories, breast feeding equipment, swing, and bouncer. Some items may be available at a local Toys 'R' Us, while all should be available online.

Amazon.com

We registered the things we couldn't find at other stores at Amazon -- almost all of our cloth diaper necessities and books. We also registered a very cool baby carrier from Ergo.

What We Have
We have blankets, quilts, stuffed animals, a mini playard/bassinet combination, a stroller, and a car seat.

We're Buying a House!

As if we didn't have busy enough lives, we've decided we want to move this summer when our lease expires.

We'd like to buy our own house, so we're busy getting pre-approved and checking out houses.

Pray for us, so we make the best decision with God's money for our family.

Getting Ready for Baby

Wow, time is really moving along. My pregnancy is now at 34 weeks, and Rick and I are excitedly preparing for the baby's arrival.

We now have a car seat and stroller, and we've got an appointment scheduled for expert advice on installing the car seat base.

We also bought a small combination portable play yard and bassinet. This will fit in our small bedroom at our rental house and will be a smaller sleeping area for the newborn.

We also have enough disposable diapers - courtesy of generous friends and family - for the first week or two, as well as a couple of baby outfits and several blankets.

The rest of the baby stuff we still need, but we're working on it.

We are registered now at Target, and soon we will register at least with the Kid's Stuff Superstore.

The baby shower is scheduled for April 19th.

We Have the Professional Wedding Photos!

We've finally received the DVD from the wedding photographers. We can print 4x6 photos on our photo printer of any of the photos you see on this blog, so let us know.

Unfortunately, we'll only be able to post a few pictures online here due to space limitations.

We're Starting a Family!

We found out a few months ago that we are expecting a baby in late May (boy, it sure doesn't take long!).

Wahoo!

We don't want to know if the baby us a boy or girl, but we're a little relieved to know we're not having multiples (twins run in the family).

We've Moved!

As you probably know, Rick received a great job offer about three weeks before the wedding. So, as soon as we were back from the honeymoon, we packed and remodeled like wild people.

We moved to Nebraska in late July, and Rick started work a few days later.

Email or call us for our new address. Our emails remain the same, and our cell phone numbers remain the same until our contract expires next October (or we break the contract).

We miss ya'll!

The Honeymoon

Rick was in charge of arranging the honeymoon, and he did a fantastic job!

With how busy our lives have been before and after the wedding, it was great to have seven days of nothing but relaxation and fun.

Where did we go?

Aruba!

(Actually, we stayed the first night in historic Castle Marne in Denver, then we headed off for the island)

We stayed at Bucuti Resort, a small couples resort right off Eagle Beach (which, it turns out, is rated one of the top beaches in the world).

We enjoyed lounging by the water, sailing, kayaking, snorkeling, and eating some great food. We'd definitely go back to Aruba again.
